    Responsibilities:

    Be familiar with all aspects of the Elan curriculum, the lesson flows, and the quiz schedules

    Complete mid-term and end of term assessments that are personalized and constructive 

    Be punctual to work at all times, start classes on time, and control student break times

    Assist with marketing activities including the parties held by the center

    Take part in two training sessions per term to keep up to date with current developments

    Substitute for absent colleagues - this may be at short notice and off-site


    Cooperate with the Center Manager and Head Teacher in ensuring constructive communication and efficient operation of the center that creates a cohesive culture and working environment

    Assist in the library during busy times, particularly if you have an empty slot on a weekend

    Be observed by your Head Teacher and Teacher Manager and receive feedback professionally

    Communicate with your Head Teacher in a weekly meeting about your students and classes

    Responsibilities:

    Be familiar with all aspects of the Elan curriculum and be ready to answer questions from teachers

    Complete assessments and be available to help the Head Teacher proofread teachers’ assessments

    Be punctual at all times and provide a positive example for all of the other teachers

    Play a key role in marketing activities, particularly with guiding teachers during parties and party preparation

    Take part in two training sessions per term to keep up to date with current developments

    Substitute for absent colleagues - this may be at short notice and off-site


    Assist in the library during busy times, particularly if you have an empty slot on a weekend

    Be observed by your Head Teacher and Teacher Manager and receive feedback professionally - you may also be asked to perform this procedure for teachers if your Head Teacher is absent

    Communicate with your Head Teacher in a weekly meeting about your students and classes and provide
    guidance for teachers who are experiences difficulties with the materials or their students

    Responsibilities:

    Monitor student progress utilizing data analysis

    Be familiar with the Elan curriculum in order to make suggestions for student placement

    Write student assessment reports with strengths, areas for improvement, and recommendations


    Cooperate with the Center Manager and Head Teacher in ensuring constructive communication and efficient operation of the center that creates a cohesive culture and working environment

    Substitute for absent colleagues - this may be at short notice and off-site

    Be familiar with the administrative procedures employed in the center and as directed by Elan head office

    Take part in two training sessions per term to keep up to date with current developments


    Make the library an inviting environment for students by hosting regular themed corners, decorating according to Western and Chinese festival days, and other appropriate displays

    Assist in marketing activities and promotions, particularly with parties

    Meet weekly with the Head Teacher and center colleagues to discuss student progress and strategies

    Elan Head Teachers

    Responsibilities:

    Be an expert on all aspects of the curriculum so that you can answer specific questions from teachers on any course that they are having trouble with

    Be comfortable with the procedures that you should go through with a new teacher, having regular check-ins with them, helping them to organize their class folder, and assisting them with planning ahead

    Be able to implement the warning system if a member of your staff begins to act in ways that are not appropriate by Elan standards

    Meet regularly with other Head Teachers and your Teacher Manager so that educational standards and company policies are being applied uniformly across all centers

    If your Center Manager notes that some or all of your staff are not completing something to the standard that we expect, you should run a local training session to resolve this issue

    Do a formal observation for each teacher once per term and provide professional and constructive feedback

    Complete an appraisal of each teacher once every six months and hold a meeting to provide feedback

    Assist with recruiting teachers and coaches for both your center and other centers
